7 Days of Style: 7 Spring Dresses to buy now

I’m officially lost in lockdown and dreaming of spring! We’ve had moments here where it has truly felt like it was just around the corner. So, I’m starting to shop like it is. They say thoughts become things right? So bring on the longer days and the warmer rays. I’m ready. And of course this all comes with the news in the UK that we might be able to actually get out and about in our spring dresses. I’m not putting too much weight on anything just yet, but I am dancing around my closet freely with thoughts of pub lunches in the sun and long walks sans leggings! Come on springtime!

For those who are as optimistic as I am, here are 7 dresses to buy now in preparation for the next season. And yes, spring is now the season in store. And yes, I do think it’s crazy and I wonder when the fashion world will start to adapt to selling clothes we can wear now. But, we’re not there yet and these are seven springtime dresses I don’t want you to miss. So here we go….

A few notes. I am 6’2 and wear a size 18UK, 16US. Unless otherwise stated, that’s the size displayed. Please also note that affiliate links are used in this post:

One of the dresses you can wear now… and forever! This is my favourite dress of the bunch because it’s a sweatshirt! It can easily be worn now, around the house, or out on a walk with leggings and big boots. But, come spring you can walk out in this with sandals or Converse and call it a day. It is currently the most comfortable dress I have in my closet and I cannot recommend it enough. I am wearing a 16UK, which is generous in size! I honestly cannot recommend this dress enough!

Sweatshirt dress

Sizes 6-16

We have a combo situation here that makes me think “Chanel!” Only, ladies, this ain’t Chanel. It’s a rip roaring rip off from a high street brand that’s offering this combo for less than a cost of a Chanel eyeshadow.

Dress

Size XS-XXL

39.99

Cardigan

Size XS-XXL

39.99

This is as spring-like as it gets here, folks. I’ll be wearing this beauty to run through fields of daisies. Too optimistic?

Floral Dress

Size XS-XXL

69.99

This is a dress that is, again, seasonless. It can be worn now with tights and a coat and again for spring in summer with some sandals. It’s a stretch knit that hangs perfectly, without clinging, and has beautiful embroidered detailing a splash of pizazz on the shoulders and chest of the dress. I’ll be wearing this with any number of belts to jazz and down depending on the day.

Embroidered Dress

Size S-XL

70.00

I’m not going to lie. I’m going to need an event for this dress. It’s a beautiful number that would probably be closer to maxi on most people. It swings like a dream and was made for a garden party or wedding reception. Oh please, oh please!

Floral Swing Dress

Sizes 8-22

99.00

You’ve seen me wear this before (and for those of you that looked previously, they’ve restocked in all sizes!). Just an all around perfect dress! It’s selling for spring but you can wear this beauty all flipping year, 365… darlings!

Maxi Dress

Size XS-XL

180.00

If you are looking for the dress that you can throw on and go, this is it. This is the most flattering and perfectly fitted dress I have flung over my head in decades. Truly, cannot say enough about this. Just currently begging the retailer to make it in more colours!

Midi Dress

Sizes S-XL

I love all of them on you!

I’m a shortwaisted 5’4″ gal and wish I could find all of these in petite (I guess) so they’d hit me where the bust fits you. Having said that, I’ll check out the Monsoon midi in bright blue. Who knows?

I love that so many of these styles work on tall and petite sizes!
