What I packed: South Carolina, January 2020

I get so many questions about what to pack when visiting certain places, that I thought I’d start an official guide on what I wear, when and where, starting with my home in South Carolina. I visited last month and packed all the wrong things. I brought sweaters, coats and jeans, thinking that the weather would be glum and terrible. In reality, South Carolina delivered on a spring-like week with the sun so warm in places you could swear it was summer. I don’t know why I didn’t remember that’s just the way life on the coast goes. Some days it’s miserable, but nine days out of ten it’s so beautiful there’s no need for anything more than shorts and a t-shirt. Let’s be real though, when was the last time you saw my in shorts and a t-shirt? Even on the island, I’m pulling out the dresses and extra separates. Only thing missing for me, on most days, would be my shoes. So without further ado, this is what I wore when in South Carolina in January. No sweaters, no jeans, just pure spring goodness!
