A London breakfast with a view

Every day I get asked what restaurants in London are top of my list for experience. Food, it seems, is important, but location and atmosphere trump all. If you’re on the lookout for a breakfast in London that is more than just your usual pancakes and coffee, here’s a head’s up. Searcy’s at The Gherkin takes breakfast in London to another level, literally. After two lifts and a staircase climb, you step up into the restaurant that is literally the topper of the famous London building. Views of the city stretch out below you, and not even a light fog can take away the magical scene below. As we dined, surrounded by a 360 degree view of the sunrise, I couldn’t help but think what an amazing place this would be for a special occasion. Gentleman, get your engagement rings ready. Tourists, consider this your chance to do something extraordinary while in town. Leave the pavement below for those not in the know. I’m already thinking this might be the most incredible place for a 40th Birthday party. Yup, that’s coming up! What do you think? Champagne under the stars in March? Watch this space!
