Written in collaboration with St James’s London
To walk through St. James’s at any time of year is to feel as if you have stepped back in time 300 years. But, to walk through at Christmas, is akin to walking through a time machine. Come December, the air is scented with chestnuts, mulled wine and Christmas trees, and all the shops are dressed for the season, with baubles and garland aplenty. It’s easy to get lost in time here, wandering in and out of shops and stopping for delightful bites along the way. I cannot recommend this area of town highly enough during the holiday season, and to prove a point, I’ve put together a guide on things to see and do. You’ll find it below, along with a reason to bundle up and head over for a big party in the area tomorrow night. All are welcome!
Before we go into the seasonal guide, allow me to share with you a look at a very special night that is taking place tomorrow, November the 14th, 2019, to officially kick off the season. This is, of course, the launch of the Christmas lights in St James’s and it’s a night not to be missed! From 5pm, Jermyn Street is open for foot traffic only. Hot chocolate, churros, warm seasonal gin & tonics, acoustic performances, special menus and store events are all tidbits to look forward to as you explore the neighbourhood.
While it’s easy enough to discover the entertainment and food on Jermyn Street, I thought I’d outline some of the special offers for the night, in stores and restaurants! Hopefully see a few of you there!
