Every beauty product I use in the morning from shower gel to hairspray and everything in between

If I had a dime for every time someone asked me what I use for my skincare, haircare or shower musts, I’d have enough money to buy a McDonalds Value Meal daily (Ha. I hate it when people say they’d be millionaires when using that phrase. Liars, they are.) So, I thought I’d get it all down on paper for you…. my beauty regime. Anywho, let’s make this a regular feature shall we? I’ll now be doing a monthly breakdown of latest and greatest and this is the first. These will be the items that have impressed me enough to make their way into my daily regime. You see, I get sent so many amazing things to try and I do try them all. But honestly, I have no idea how most beauty editors do their job as it takes me at least a month to decide if I even want to tell you guys about anything. So, please know it’s all truly being trialled again and again before I dream of telling you to invest your hard earned cash in anything. There’s too much bullshit out there at the moment, so you certainly don’t need anymore from me.

Note: Sorry for the shady imagery, but this whole post is an offshoot of my instastories now live on Instagram. I decided to do a play by play of every single product I have in use today, in this month, March 2019. So, feel free to jump over onto instagram to see me talking about them in real time. I will say there are a few items that are expensive, but the vast majority of the items featured herewith are all within a reasonable price range. Enjoy!

Let’s start in the shower…

1. Seed to Skin The Purity

This is some luxury living right here. Seed to Skin is only sold at Liberty in London and it’s the ultimate suds experience. Yes, I do splurge when it comes to cleansing. I love smelling nice and feeling fresh. End of.

2. Aman Nourishing Jade Scrub and Soak

If I’m looking to really spoil myself, or if I’m exfoliating for a St Tropez fake tan moment, I swear by this. It isn’t cheap, but it’s the best scrub I’ve found to date and the smell is simply intoxicating and stays on your skin through absolutely everything. I exfoliated the night before the gym, did an insane workout the next morning and still smelled fresh as a daisy after the workout!

3. Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask

Elemis are one of the best skincare brands out there at the moment, no doubt about it. Their new superfoods range is amazing and the Veggie Mask has quickly become a favourite. I whack it on in the shower while I’m exfoliating, shaving, etc. Ten minutes later my face feels transformed.

4. Illixirskin Vitamin C Paste

If I don’t have a lot of time to get ready, I throw on this mask. Let’s just say it gets used the most as I very rarely have time for anything more than a two or three minute mask. It gives an insane glow and sets your face up for the day ahead. Absolutely love this stuff.

5. Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo and Conditioner

I’ve been told that this is not for people who colour their hair regularly. I’m going to say that upfront. As I only really colour my hair once or twice a year, at the moment, I use this without any difficulty. I have super greasy hair. Disgusting, I know. But, it’s a problem I battle with great shampoos and conditioners like this set. Worth every penny.

6. Josh Wood Colour Everything Mask

Twice a week I use this mask religiously. You guys know I love everything Josh Wood and this mask helps keep my hair looking soft and smooth and well looked after. Won’t cost the moon, but works like it does.

7. Skin Matrix HD Cleansing Pads

For those that get racoon eyes after showering, you’ll love these. I keep them on the sink and use them when I jump out of the shower to keep me looking like a hungover club kid when I come out of the bathroom every morning.

8. Regenerate Toothpaste

I took medicines when I was younger that truly did a number on the enamel of my teeth. I can’t go back and change that but I have been battling the effects for years. A friend recommended this toothpaste a few weeks ago and it’s new to my sink, but it’s already helped a lot with sensitivity and I’m hoping it will help keep the cavities at bay.

9. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Whipped Body Creme

This smell is summer in a tub. I swear by this body creme.

Now stepping out of the bathroom and over to the closet….

10. John Frieda Root Booster

I’ve tried every volumiser I can get my hands on and this is still the only one I swear by. It works. As they say… “the higher the hair, the closer to heaven.” Give me lift, people.

11. Soap And Glory Split Happens

I can’t stand hair looking fried. Won’t have it. No way, no how. So, I use Split happens on my ends before styling. Keeps that horrible dried strands look away!

12. Dyson Hairdryer

Best hairdryer on the market and worth every penny you’ll spend on it. I get big, healthy looking hair, with no brushes, just fingers!

13. Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Lotion

If you buy only one thing for skincare, make it this. This is my skincare game changer. The texture of my skin is finally smooth, my pores are smaller, my face has a glow and, well, I just think it’s the best thing ever invented, period.

14. Revive Eye Serum

If you’re looking to get some help in the eye area (I’m 39 so I need all the help I can get), this is a product to look into. It’s not cheap but will definitely help combat the signs of ageing with the eyes!

15. Beauty Pie Lip Balm

Chapped lips are a serious problem for me in every season. But, this balm is some of the best stuff I’ve found for helping out with that whole situation. I wear it at night, applying as I do my moisturiser on my skin. I then apply again before I dry my hair to prepare my lips for lipstick application.

16. GHD Curling Tong

I’ve used a lot of curling tongs in my day and this is the only one that I’ve kept for longer than two years. Love a GHD. It’s a good investment. End of.

17. Elnet Hairspray

Do not splurge on hairspray when the best stuff in the business is still cheap as chips. You’ll always see this backstage at fashion week because it’s the best. The best doesn’t always have to cost the world!

18. Code8 Beauty Balm

This is a new discovery – as in I just received it last Friday. And I knew immediately it would be a staple. In fact, I’m headed back into the store tomorrow to buy two more containers of this balm. My skin looks absolutely amazing. It melts into your skin and gives a glowy coverage that is the most flattering I have ever seen. Get to know this brand. It’s going to be changing things.

19. Code8 Concealer

Same as above – a brand that’s going places. The concealer is just like the balm. It melts right into the skin, but provides a bit more coverage. These are products that are all about a healthy glow and I am floored.

20. Hourglass Sunset Colour Trio

You need this. Every single person needs this. This is the best blusher, bronzer and highligher set out there. It’s been out for years and I have yet to find anything that comes close to giving me a better “awake” look.

21. Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye brow Whiz

The experts will all tell you there is no other eyebrow pencil, because there isn’t. This is the best. The colours on offer are extensive and the product itself lasts. So, works for everyone. If you’re looking to fill the eyebrows, this is your tool of choice.

22. Code8 Red Lipstick

If you follow me on instagram, you will see I went into Code8 last week to get my perfect shade of lipstick custom made – a service offered to anyone and everyone. For £75 you can get your perfect shade – whether you are looking for a great nude or a bright red. I came out with the red I’ve been looking for for the past twenty years. If you’ve got the money to spare, get involved.

23. Matalan Kohl Pencil

Matalan launched beauty this month and I’m still playing with a lot of the products, but I can most certainly vouch for the eye kohl pencil. I use it on the lower waterline and it has some serious staying power.

24. Mason Pearson Brush

I will swear on anything you give me that this is the best brush in the business. They’ve been around forever and still no one can hold a candler to this boar bristle brushes. They just give your hair a polish that no one other bristle brush can achieve.
