Style Update: Prettiest in Pink

When I was a kid I rebelled against the colour pink. I mean I really refused to wear it. I blame the fact that I was trying to hold my own, growing up with three brothers, and somehow pink let me down in giving off the “tough” vibe. In fact, it wasn’t until I was in my dirty thirties that I really discovered how pretty pink can be. I also fell in love with the concept of throwing as many different shades of pink into an outfit as the world can handle. Today’s ensemble is a good argument for fifty shades of pink. Sure, pink is soft and feminine. But, it can also be a colour combination that’s hard edged and sophisticated. It’s all in how you wear it.

Now, again, my choice of slippers for this ensemble is perhaps not so “hard” at all. And not to worry, I didn’t actually leave the house in these. I did, however, feel a strong need to share these beauties with you ASAP as they are only available online and I have a feeling they are going to sell out fast in the lead up to Christmas. They may be slippers, but they have rubber soles so who’s to say they can’t double as day to day footwear?

What I’m Wearing

All Marks & Spencer: Pink Sweater, Pink Metallic Skirt, Pink Jewelled Slippers

Note: Fashion Foie Gras works as an ambassador for Marks & Spencer.
