The Ritz London Part Three: A Visual Diary of a Culinary Celebration

For once, I am at a loss for words. I must have written and rewritten this paragraph a thousand times, and finally I’m just giving in and saying there truly are no words to describe what is to be discovered for culinary delights at The Ritz London. From the Crepes Suzette in a dining hall that will simply take your breath away, to cocktails in a room that will make you feel you are aboard the Orient Express, the joy of wining and dining at The Ritz London is like nothing you will ever experience anywhere else on earth. 

I put together a bit of a visual diary exploring the dining options of The Ritz London while in residence this summer. I was lucky enough to take a tour of the kitchens, with the head chef who I fell madly in love with. I was spoiled beyond belief as he introduced me The Ritz London way of eating freshly baked crisps (with soured cream and caviar) and also shared his own passion in life- truffles – which he spread on freshly baked bread with salted butter. I’m pretty sure I put on five pounds just walking through The Ritz London kitchen. But, I wouldn’t change it for the world. This was like a well oiled machine, with a head chef at the helm that encouraged his staff to take bigger roles in the kitchen’s fresh produce, practices and recipes. It was wonderful to witness and made dining upstairs that much more special. 

Alright now, enough talking, truly. These words do nothing to describe the magic of a hotel space that has been serving royalty and the like for over 110 years. There is a magic here that is felt in every nook and cranny of the space. Even the staff themselves feel as if they are men and women from days of old, frozen in time. If you ever have the opportunity to dine in these hallowed rooms, please do. It is an experience like none other.
