Where to find stylish shoes for wide feet? 10 retailers to know now…

My feet are probably the one thing I would change with plastic surgery, if it were possible. They are wide, long and, generally speaking, the exact opposite of what designers envision when they create their masterpieces. Manolo, Louboutin, Dior and more are all just footwear dreams. Sadly, the reality doesn’t come close to fitting my feet. So, I have to constantly be on the hunt for shoes that will fit. That usually results, more often than not, in orthopedic looking creations that are more suited for my grandparents than myself. Ever so frustrating. But, recently I hit a gold mine and I had to share because I meet people all the time that ask me where I’m getting my shoes. I found this brand a few months ago and now have 10 pairs of their shoes in my shoe closet. That’s just insanity, right there. But, they are well priced, fit so well that I don’t have aching and horrible feet at the end of the day, and they are sh*t hot! What else do you need to know? Well, let’s start with the shoes above and then finish with a few additional sites that should be on your list of places to visit if you are seeking stylish shoes for wide feet

Every single pair of the shoes pictured above are from Redoute (and if you want really wide and really comfortable, buy the shoes from the Castaluna range). It’s a new love affair, and long may it continue. However, there are a few other online sources for shoes for wide feet, that need to be on your radar now.

In no particular order, here is a top ten list for places to find wide shoes in stylish shapes!

1. ASOS

I cannot stress this enough! ASOS has saved my bacon repeatedly with their shoes over the past decade. They carry up to a UK9 / US11 (can easily fit a 12 in some cases) and the shoes are fun and on trend now. Read that to mean they aren’t your grandmother’s shoes. Try this site on for size. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

2. New Look

So here’s the thing about New Look. You aren’t going to wear the shoes you buy here forever. They are shoes you will wear for one season that will fit, be on trend and you won’t feel terrible when the sole falls off them. Get my drift? Look for style here, not longevity. But, their wide shoes are some of the best, hands down. (If you’re in the UK and looking for this price point, also look into Primark).

3. Nordstrom

At present, Nordstrom have over 1,000 new styles of wide shoes! That says it all really, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the selection.

4. Evans

This isn’t something that’s on everyone’s radar for wide shoes, but many of the high street retailers offering extended sizes also accommodate for a wider foot! So put this on your list right now.

5. Lane Bryant

As before, another extended sizes shop giving us some good options for footwear with some extra width. Note: There are some crazy cute sandals here! Must look!

6.  Long Tall Sally

Not only does Long Tall Sally carry up to a size 15 shoe for women, it also caters to a wider foot. This has long been a secret of the tall community, but there’s no discrimination, it seems, when it comes to wide feet. It plagues us all! So, tall or short, this is a great resource for shoes.

7. Clarks

Clarks is one of those brands that must be seen to be believed in 2017. I can remember for years thinking this was a brand only my great aunt would wear. They typically had footwear that was like walking with blocks on your feet and that’s the only description you can give. But times have changed as the years have moved on and Clarks now have a killer range, with everything from flats to wedges, that are the most comfortable shoes you will ever wear.

8. Birkenstocks

You kids don’t know how good you’ve got it. I can remember wearing Birkenstocks back in high school and having peers ask me where my “Jesus shoes” were from. I was so ahead of my time. Birks are back, they are great for wide feet, and they now come in a variety of colours. Get involved.

9. Vionic

Basically Vionic shoes are all the rage at the moment with women swearing by these specially created soles. It’s all about comfort, with style taking a secondary seat, yet they are killing it in both arenas. About time someone did this. Check them out.

10. Hush Puppies

Yet another “not your mama’s brand” brand. Hush Puppies have also reinvented and most recently can be highlighted for adding a lot of colour to their spring summer collection. The pinks… I die!
