A couple of weeks ago I fessed up to an ongoing obsession with Eucerin skincare and had an overwhelming response from readers. Turns out I’m not the only one that grew up with this range of products. Looks like I should share confessions more often! Now, a lot of you asked how Eucerin had moved on and what new products were out and about. So, I wanted to share a few of the new products that I’ve been introduced to, specifically the ones I love and the ones that I’m using for glowing, healthy and moisturized skin this holiday season.
So without further ado, the breakdown:
1. Eucerin Replenishing Cream
Let’s start with general moisture. While I’ll always say that the best thing ever that you can do for your skin is drink plenty of water, the second best thing is hydration through moisturizing. For sensitive skin, the Eucerin Replenishing Cream is key. I use this straight after washing, if I want to go out with a fresh and clean look, just dewy skin and maybe a bold lip or a smoky eye. It gives me that healthy and plump look to the skin.
2. Eucerin Hyaluron Filler CC Cream
If I’m looking for a little more coverage (perhaps the Christmas party the night before has left me a little red), I’m reaching for the CC Cream. This is truly spectacular. The CC Cream offers sheer coverage so I can feel a little less like the walking dead. While it’s doing it’s job keeping me looking fresh, with complexion correction, it’s also protecting and healing my skin. This CC Cream comes complete with an SPF 15 and high and low molecular Hyaluronic Acid. This just happens to be my favourite product of the lot. It’s truly transforming.
Now onto eye care, which is extremely important for a woman of my age (ok, I’m not that old…but getting up there). I’m actually using two eye creams from Eucerin at the moment, and I can’t decide which one I love more, so here are the facts to keep you in the loop…
3. Eucerin AQUAporin Active Eye Cream
First of all, let me say that if you are one of these women that believes regular moisturizers can be used under your eye. Take a step back from the computer and turn around 12 times and spit over your shoulder. Because if you believe you don’t need eye cream, you probably also believe in the fairytales that tell you turning in place and spitting over your shoulder will keep demons away. (ok, all honesty I’m not sure that does anything, but hopefully you catch my point). Eye cream is essential. The skin under your eyes is super thin, super sensitive and needs to be handled with a lot of TLC. Enter Eucerin AQUAporin Active. This eye cream is great for sensitive skin, works to reduce puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. But most importantly, it keeps the eye area moisturized all day and does so without any fragrance or parabens. What’s not to love?
4. Eucerin Hylaluron Filler Eye Cream
Now, to keep my party glow constantly in check, I’m using a different cream that’s working to protect against premature aging and giving my undereye area a smoother and more youthful appearance come sunrise. I’ve been using it a lot at night. It’s basically working hard while the rest of me is sound asleep, tired from working hard all day. I’m handing my eyes over to the moisturizing elves. That being said, this is also a great cream for day as it has an SPF15 built in, as well some serious wrinkle plumping effects the instantly brighten and tighten as well. Bliss!
Now, let’s talk about lip care:
5. Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm
If you take just one thing away from today’s skin lesson, let it be this. The lips are not to be forgotten!!! I see so many women walking around town with chapped lips. I mean terrible bleeding and aggravated looking lips. It’s painful and it’s a terrible thing to deal with. But, it’s 100% solvable. There’s really no excuse anymore. You just need a great lip balm. Seeing as a bold red lip is my Christmas party must, I have to make sure my lips are always pretty healthy and moisturized, otherwise I have bright red peeling wallpaper lips which is so darn unattractive, don’t you think? There’s a mix of four key ingredients in the Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm that reduces redness, calms irritation, promotes healing and moisturizes to leave lips smooth and soft. For anyone that’s ever suffered acne and had to be put on skincare meds and creams, we all know the pain of chapped lips. This is truly the only stuff I can use that solves the problem of chapped lips and continuously works to keep dry lips at bay. Just saying!
And there’s your update! I’ll share more as it comes my way. But for now, here’s hoping you have a fabulous Christmas with some dewy and glowing skin to boot!
