Flowers through your letterbox for Christmas?! Oh yes…

When I was younger I was obsessed with the idea of getting flowers. I mean obsessed. I think it had something to do with the way that I would see my mom’s face light up when she received flowers from my father. I just knew, at an early age, that there was an importance there. Being the recipient of a beautiful bouquet of flowers meant something. So, for years I waited for boyfriends and loved ones to give me flowers. Each time was just as special as the next, and I placed great value on this exchange. Then, around about the age of 34, I discovered something that I wish I had come onto so many years before – the joy of buying flowers for myself. Try not to judge me too harshly on being a late bloomer here. Flowers were always an extravagance and when I first moved to London I was making next to nothing in wages and buying flowers would have meant not eating. I didn’t love flowers so much I was willing to starve.

But, so much has changed in recent years. Companies are popping up all over the place that make the process of buying flowers easier, cheaper and with more bang for your buck in general. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write about them, but Bloom & Wild have been a favourite for sometime now. First of all, this is flower delivery company that delivers flowers through your postbox. Yup, the box will fit through a standard letter box and will be sitting on your hallway floor when you come home from work. It’s all shipped next day as well, so super easy. The prices are more than reasonable, and the bouquets are simply stunning (you have to check out their Christmas Collection).

You really won’t believe what will fit through a letterbox these days. In fact, my latest delivery  from Bloom & Wild was so epic that I had to photograph and write about it here to prove a point. It’s time to spoil yourself, ladies! There’s no need to wait for someone else to do it. Bring beauty into the house now. There’s no excuse anymore. You don’t even need to be there to have them delivered!

(Ps. If you are in the Shoreditch area, keep an eye out for Bloom & Wild in Boxpark from the 6th-11th of December. They are doing a “Tiny Tree” pop up where you can pick up a tiny Christmas tree and decorate it with a variety of items on hand.)

Here’s a picture of the box the flowers arrived in after they’ve all come out… fanned out to showcase just how much is in this tiny Bloom & Wild Box!

Tell me these aren’t stunning…. (The Alexa
