So, herewith you’ll find the many faces of outlet shopping. Well, the many faces that I make in wearing my bargain buys. Yes, it’s a favorite activity of mine. I’m a bargain miner. I can’t help myself. From birth, I have been in search of the best bargain in existence. It’s a neverending job and one that I take very seriously.
While my love of outlets found its feet on American soil, it has truly flourished in the UK as of late. What can I say? UK… you give good shopping. My latest discovery comes with a journey – a train journey. Now, I’m sure you are sitting there saying, “how amazing is that train that it’s lead you all the way to LA from London?” Well, you may have guessed we need a take a step back here.
A few weeks ago I made my first journey to McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks. This is about a two hour train journey from London’s Euston station. While the journey was long, the rewards were plentiful. I had heard of McArthurGlen, but had never visited before and when I arrived I was surprised to be met by over a mile of outlet shops. Head spinning time! I went a little crazy and then decided, “hey, these would make for some nice outfits while in LA.” And that, folks, leads us to where we are today – in LA and wearing my favourite finds from McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks (this is the first… there’s another to come).
Starting from top to bottom I managed to outfit myself entirely in outlet store bargains – all at over 60% off their retail price. And it goes a little something like this… Raybans from the Sunglass Hut, top from Joules, skirt from Jaeger, bag from Lulu Guinness.
