The beauty of Ballet and Hozier’s Take Me To Church, by David LaChapelle

If you ever questioned the beauty of dance, or of the human form, I can pretty much guarantee that the video you are about to watch will put all doubts to rest. I heard “Take Me To Church” by Hozier for the first time at the Victoria’s Secret Show in London last year.

It was immediately added to the Spotify playlist and occasionally found its way onto the car stereo without me thinking one way or the other about it. However, I came across the following video, after a friend shared it on Facebook today, and I must say that the tune has completely new meaning.

Ballet dancer Sergei Polunin and director David LaChapelle have put together a masterpiece of dance and direction that will not only make it nearly impossible to look away, you’ll also find yourself watching over and over again. I am continually floored by the way in which people find their creative outlets and how some of us fall straight into the place where we can deliver beauty to the world continually. Sergei has truly left me speechless with his talent and I couldn’t help but share. Enjoy.
