Around the globe in 365 days: FFG Travel Round up 2014

posted on: Monday, 29 December 2014

It was definitely a year to remember when it comes to travel in 2014. Over 160,000 air miles earned in travel and more hours on an airplane than I care to admit to. Let's just say I've certainly seen every new release movie on every airline going. When not in the air, I was discovering new countries for the first time and revisiting some old favorites to share must-visit places. It is, by far, the most I have travelled since starting FFG and it looks as if things are only going to get crazier as we move into 2015 with three far off destinations already planned for the first five weeks. But, before we look forward let's take a step back in time and see where the fashion goose touched down in 2014...

2. Los Angeles (where I created a list of must visit places in Los Angeles... one that I hope has come in handy for many)

3. A weekend at Dormy House, Cotswolds

4. A quick trip to NYC where I stayed at The Pennisula...

5. Super fast trip to Dubai to attend the Grazia ME Style Awards

6. Abu Dhabi for the DFS Masters of Fragrance Launch

7. A step away from it all to Barbados with the boy... (blogged the whole time... I have a very understanding boyfriend, obviously)

11. Returning to Jumby Bay, Antigua

12. Travelling to Manchester and Edinburgh with Pandora for the launch of #myringsmystyle campaign

15. Visiting an old favourite - Port Royal, South Carolina

16. Two weeks in Maine and a stop in at the famous Scoop Deck Ice Cream

17.  Back to New York for the launch of the Polo Ralph Lauren store on Fifth (and Ralph's Coffee)

19. A London stay-cation at The Connaught in the Connaught Suite

20. The staycation continued at The Berkeley in London

21. Popping into Cannizaro House in Wimbledon for a weekend away from the city

27. A hop, skip and a jump by seaplane to the coast of Sri Lanka at Cape Weligama

28. Popping to Vienna for a tour of the Christmas Markets with Olympus Pen

29. And my last trip for 2014 was home to South Carolina for Christmas

And now, it's time to catch a flight back to London to celebrate the arrival of a new year, and a new set of travel dates! See you soon, 2015!
