Los Angeles Beauty: Where to get a stellar blow dry

Alright, ladies, here’s one to add to your must visit list when in Los Angeles. Drybar has been around for ages, so truly we don’t feel as if we’re recommending anything new here. This is just a friendly reminder to say if you haven’t tried it yet, it is an experience you are missing out on.

What strikes you first, at all Drybars, is the scent. Drybar uses all their own products in treating the hair for your blowout, so when you walk in to any location you’re welcomed by a scent that makes you feel right at home. It’s a scent that will stay with you throughout the duration of your Drybar blowout and it’s a scent you can now purchase for your own blowdry-at-home experience. Oh yeah, we bought into this. While these type of salons usually make most of their money from product sales, Drybar is the only one we’ll endorse as a purchase worth your money. We’re obsessed with the hairspray and dry shampoo. Just saying.

Now onto the experience itself. After you visit the wash room for a shampoo and conditioner, you are offered a drink at your station by your stylist. We opted for champagne. Hey, if it’s on offer, right?  Then you settle in and watch as your stylist transforms your hair from so-so to wow factor. To be honest, however, we spent all our time paying attention to Dirty Dancing, which was playing on the big screen in front of us. What we love about Drybar is that these guys want you to truly relax and enjoy the experience and they make sure the last thing you think about is the process that is underway. You are pampered from start to finish and you leave looking like you’re ready to walk on to a film set. This was Hollywood, after all.

Bottom line here is if you are in the area, don’t leave without trying this fantastic hair savior. We do have to warn you that this is highly addictive.
