Big day for J.W. Anderson: investment from LVMH and new role at Loewe

And the fashion merry-go-round is once again in motion, people. It was announced this morning that J.W. Anderson is succeeding Stuart Vevers at Loewe. You may remember we announced earlier this summer that Vevers was moving to Coach to take over from Reed Krakoff. Well, we were waiting for the naming of his replacement and finally the wait is over.

Now, onto more exciting news for J.W. Anderson, the brand. While the Loewe announcement is significant and very important, those who love the J.W. Anderson brand should also know that LVMH has taken a stake in the company. Of course this is no coincidence. Loewe is actually under the LVMH umbrella, so it’s a nicely packaged little deal here. Well, perhaps not so little, but you know what I mean.

So what’s next? Well, world domination of course. In all seriousness, LVMH’s investment will mean big things for the J.W. Anderson brand. It is a truly beloved label amongst the fashion industry and I think we’ll all be very pleased to see it reach populations far and wide with the help of the LVMH machine.
