Target and FEED team up to feed 10 million Americans

The latest collaboration on the Target roster comes with a definite feel good shopping experience. FEED USA has teamed up with the retail giant for a special limited edition collection. Out in stores on the 30th of June, this collection is made up of everything from the famous FEED labelled bags to chic storage containers.

For those of you unfamiliar with the FEED foundation, it is a charity that was founded in 2006 by model and activist Lauren Bush. The charity began with a special FEED bag designed by Lauren that saw proceeds benefit the United Nations World Food Programme’s School Feeding Programme. It wasn’t long before the FEED bag become an “it bag” and the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, the FEED foundation has raised over $6 million dollars and delivered over 60 million meals. It is an incredible machine that is battling world hunger daily.

When we heard Target was getting on board to support the cause, we naturally decided this was one story we couldn’t let go. FEED and Target are actually turning the focus of hunger back on the USA and using profits from sales to help the home country. It’s a worthy cause and it couldn’t come at a better time. As we look to celebrate July 4th in the USA, please think about those less fortunate and help raise awareness about the ongoing problem with hunger that is an everyday reality for many in the United States of America.

Now you’ll notice that each item in the collection has a number on it and this isn’t just a random figure, oh no. It’s the number of meals that Target and FEED USA will be donating when you make that purchase. And they have an even bigger number in mind when it comes to delivering. Lauren Bush and the Target team are hoping to raise enough money to deliver 10 million meals across America. We’re in for helping them reach that goal!
