Versus Versace uses social media campaign to preview new collection

Today’s news from Versus Versace is a true testament to the growing power of digital. The brand have formally announced, via emailed press release, that they will be debuting their new collection through a social media exercise online.

Over the next few weeks we will see Donatella Versace herself take to the Versace Youtube channel to publicly speak about the collection.  Updates will be regularly posted to Versace’s Facebook page, and the brand will soon introduce Twitter, Instagram and Google+  accounts to accompany the launch.

Leading up to the big day, the website showcases an official to-the-second countdown. The big day is May 15th, where the collection will officially launch in New York City. We don’t have any details yet but you can bet this will be an event to remember and Instagram.

For those of you that have been living in fashion news radio silence, the Versus Versace brand is relaunching after announcing last November that they are parting ways with designer Christopher Kane and embracing a new future. The new Versus Versace core collection will launch on May 15th followed by the first new designer collaboration with JW Anderson. You should be very excited about this… very!
