Last week I headed over to the Saatchi Gallery on the Kings Road for a first look at The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld. The exhibition was mid-setup and a few of us had been invited to check out the goods before the doors officially opened that evening. Before celebs like Keira Knightley, Alice Dellal, Chloe Moretz and Edie Campbell filled the room to greet Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld, we stood amongst the pictures that speak to the true relevance of this brand in the past, present and future.
So mark your calendars, folks, as this Chanel exhibition is not permanent. It’s now on display at the gallery and will be leaving us on October 28th. It’s completely free, so there’s no excuse to not pop in to take in the world of Chanel and it’s beautiful iconic little black jacket. You’ll find a total of 113 photographs on display that range from black and white to striking colour.
