A few weeks ago I worked with Net-a-Porter in bringing together some of the top style bloggers in the UK for a photoshoot showcasing the hot trends for the season. It was a wonderful group of women that all worked the trends in completely different ways. We told those involved that they had the task of playing out three different trends: Leather trousers, statements sweaters and trans-seasonal dresses. We gave it a hashtag: #trythetrend, had champagne and macarons at the ready and made sure everyone involved got plenty of time both in the changing rooms and in front of the cameras. The result is quite simply stunning and I can’t wait to share all the pictures with you.
For now, however, I’ll share with you what I chose to put together for looks (all available on Net). For my leather trousers look I paired an Acne sweater with Joseph leather trousers and YSL heels. For the statement sweater look I had to go with a Markus Lupfer sweater paired with a McQ skirt and Louboutin heels. And finally, for the trans-seasonal dress I worked a Donna Karan jersey with a Rick Owens jacket, sporting the YSL heels again… yes, they are that comfortable and irresistible!
In case you haven’t noticed, I am pretty much obsessed with Net-a-Porter. Frankly speaking, the service they offer has kept me as a customer for as long as I can remember. There is nothing better than opening a big black box from Net-a-Porter. Honestly, it can transform a day. So it was a great pleasure to work more personally with a company that I have held in such high esteem for so long. I do hope you enjoy what we have to share with you over the coming weeks across a number of blogs.
