Todd Lynn sends fashion on safari for Spring Summer 2013

Todd Lynn’s Spring Summer 2013 collection was not only my favourite from the designer to date, but also a highlight for me, personally, from London Fashion Week this season. Lynn showcased a collection that had me continually thinking “fashion on safari.” All I could picture were double page layouts in Vogue with models wearing the safari jackets and ostrich hide belts as they posed with the plains of Africa in the background. It’s not surprising that these images would come to mind as when reading the press release I discover that Todd Lynn was actually inspired by Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now. In my mind I was begging for stylists to realize the potential of this collection and to use it to its fullest in editorials. The truth is there will be no begging involved. There is plenty here to work with in not only outfitting some of the most glamourous women in the business but also in covering glossy pages around the world. Trust me, these pieces are ones you will see time and again when it comes to the new season. {Images: FFG/}
