Julia Roberts’ new Lancome commercial involves some seriously blinged out “attachments”

I’m curious what you all make of this commercial. While Julia Roberts looks positively radiant (yes, there’s a bit of a girl crush here), I’m terribly confused by what’s happening in this Lancome commercial. I mean of course I get what they are trying to say, as in the bigger picture, but is anyone else a bit unsettled by how they are trying to say it? I’m not really sure that being “harnessed” by society has anything to do with perfume. I could just be totally off here and missing the point entirely. Any thoughts? If this Lancome perfume really does allow you to break free from the “diamond string matrix”, I may just have to pick up a few bottles.
