First Look: McQ’s new flagship store on Dover Street, London

Last
week I had the great pleasure of stopping into the McQ shop on Dover Street for
a first look at the brand new space. This is the brand’s first flagship store
and I must say I was blown away from entrance to exit. Not only is the space an
accurate reflection of the brand and even current collection, but the
technology featured in store was like nothing I have ever seen before. From
full length mirrors that snap pictures for you to share with your friends and
family in real time, to digital screens that allow you to peruse collections
and share style ideas, McQ is showcasing the future of retail with their new
space.

The
store was created by Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton with the help of David
Collins Studio and is truly a store where I do believe many will find
themselves staying to shop for prolonged periods of time. It’s spread over
three floors, spanning nearly 3,000 square feet, in an Georgian townhouse just
across the street from The Arts Club.

I
realize not all of you live in London and can just hop into store, so here’s a
sneaky peek at the new space. For those of you in town, do take an afternoon
to stop by as this is one shopping destination not to be missed.
