First Look: Karl Lagerfeld’s Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo fresco-style installation

A couple of weeks ago
the news broke that Karl Lagerfeld was dipping his toe into yet another
creative venture. This time around Lagerfeld has accepted the invitation
to redesign the outside premises of the
Métropole Monte-Carlo
. This will include the pool, the terrace, gardens
and even the new Joel Robuchon restaurant opening in the hotel. It’s all
set to be revealed this summer but Fashion Foie Gras got a sneak peek
at what we can expect to see decorating the walls….a fresco-style installation!

The installation will be made up of 15 glass panels in total and will tell the tale of Ulysses and his epic journey.  The photos above are in fact the mock ups of what we will see in the installation. Recognize any familiar faces? How about 22-year-old Baptiste Giabiconi(who has recently been linked to Katy Perry)? It should surprise no one to see Karl’s muse taking the centre stage here.

So what will the installation look like when all is said and done? Only time will tell, but has Karl touched anything lately that hasn’t turned instantly to gold? Keep an eye out as we’ll post updates! {Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo}
