First Look: Anna Dello Russo Accessories Collection for H&M

Ok, this news is big…scratch that… monumental! The Queen of street style fashion and the muse of most street style photographers, Anna Dello Russo, is designing a collection of accessories for H&M! For a Thursday morning… the news doesn’t get much brighter! We’re going to go ahead and make a prediction that this will be the fastest sell out for H&M designer collaborations to date. (Need proof of how amazing she is… check out our feature on her top 50 outfits)

So what can we expect from the collection? Well, let’s first get the date out there. The Anna Dello Russo H&M accessories collection launches in stores on October 4th 2012. It will be available worldwide in 140 stores and online. So expect queues longer than three city blocks and massive internet crashes that annoy us all to no end. The collection itself will feature a range of accessories from jewellery to sunglasses, shoes and bags….oh and a trolley?

“I am excited by this collaboration: this is the first time H&M
have involved a Fashion Director in a special project. This is the sign
of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and
humbled to be the one chosen to lead it. I wanted to create precious
accessories that are impossible to find. As a stylist I know
accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit.
With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a
fantastic fashion day”, says Anna Dello Russo.

“It’s
been extremely exciting to involve Anna Dello Russo in this project,
something completely different from what we have done before. Anna has a
fantastic eye and a strong taste, apart from being a veritable fashion
icon. She produced an extravagant range of accessories that will get H&M
customers and everyone in love with fashion excited. The collection is a
celebration of excess, fantasy and decoration” says Margareta van den
Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M.

Bring on October! This is going to be one sensational collection of accessories… the pictures above say it all!
