Shopping The Bicester Village British Designers Collective Pop-Up Shop

Yesterday the fashion train left the station bound for Bicester Village. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we took over the entire train. There were a few aboard not en route to shopping heaven and I’m sure they were wondering if they’d entered a parallel universe as we all sat talking of Bella Freud sweaters and Nicholas Kirkwood heels! I was in seventh heaven surrounded by all the lovely men and women I frankly don’t get to see enough these days.

The real magic happened as we stepped off the bus (which takes visitors to and from the train station to Bicester Village) and walked as if on a school trip to the British Designers Collective Pop-Up Shop. We all knew we were there for a reason… to shop and to take in the great designers that make us all proud to be a part of the fashion scene in London. However, it’s very tough to walk by Ralph Lauren, Celine, Anya Hindmarch and many many more stores without stopping in. We displayed great will power and chose to walk with our minds and credit cards focused on one destination for the moment! After all, designers such as Nicholas Kirkwood, Preen, Osman, Markus Lupfer, Peter Pilotto, Holly Fulton, Bella Freud, James Long, Goat, Emma Cook, Hermione de Paula, Jean Pierre Braganza, Pauric Sweeney, Lily and Lionel, Mawi and Erickson Beamon were all in one shop! Oh and they were DISCOUNTED! I don’t think I really  need to say more than that!

As I only had about an hour at The Village I sadly did not walk away with anything from the shop! However, I’m headed back this weekend to try and buy! The shop is open from today, March 22nd 2012 – May 9th 2012. A word of warning… I’ll be shopping there this weekend and I’m not above using elbows if you set your sights on something I absolutely must own. I jest (or do I?)!
