My-Wardrobe launches in the Middle East

So we’ve covered the flight to Dubai, where we stayed in Dubai and how we were made up to look like glamour queens in Dubai… but we haven’t actually covered what we were doing there! Shame, shame, shame on FFG! Of course the big event and the whole reason we took a seven hour flight to the luxury capitol was for the launch of My-Wardrobe in the Middle East!

The big party saw fashion’s elite turning up at the Ritz in their finest attire to celebrate the dawn of a new day for a company that is already held in such high regard in the UK. The online retailer is branching out and embracing the fashionable ladies of Dubai as their digital presence grows. After watching the women paw through the racks of clothing on display, all currently available on My-Wardrobe.com, I have to say I think they’ve made the right choice in their plans for expansion in this territory. I’ve never in my life seen such fabulous attire. The glitz and glamour has made me rethink me entire approach to party wear in London. It’s also made me rethink entirely where I’d like to spend the rest of my days living… but that’s another topic entirely.

As we made our way around the party we had the great pleasure in meeting over a dozen amazingly talented and stylish bloggers, as well as dozens of magazine editors in Dubai. It was a great chance to talk about the differences in the fashion crowd in London versus Dubai and also to spread the good word about My-Wardrobe and how excited we all are to see the company grow into the Middle East. We also got to meet several new designers as well as seeing one socialite stepping out in Kanye West shoes from his spring summer collection. It was the first time seeing them out in the “wild” and trust me when I say all eyes were definitely on her feet for fifteen minutes of fame.

As the night progressed we enjoyed lovely cocktails, more sweets than we care to admit to (including white chocolate covered Oreos… hello, treadmill) and several photo ops with a few of our new favourite people. It was a beautiful night in Dubai and an absolultely gorgeous set up for the party. No detail was too small and no glamour too glitzy. It was perhaps one of the most beautiful events I have ever attended and in such a special place with such an amazing group of women.

A huge thank you, again, to My-Wardobe for inviting Fashion Foie Gras to celebrate their expansion!
