The show notes state, “Wrapped in fur against the elements, Mulberry gets lost in a wild and wonderful world inspired by Maurice Sendak’s “Where the Wild Things Are.” Well, wild it certainly was! And furry… my oh my was it ever furry. So you can imagine this fashion goose loved every minute of it! Romantic, soft, feminine, snugly and chunky are all words that come to mind when describing this collection. If you’re anything like me, these key words ad up to fashion bliss.
Mulberry layered on knits with jackets, with scarves, with belts, etc etc. All eyes weren’t just on the clothing but also on what Emma Hill had done with the shoes and accessories. Actually, just moments before the show started we all received an email from Mulberry announcing a new and very special bag…one named after Lana Del Rey who also sat front row. It’s a gorgeous piece and one which is worthy of another story entirely so we’ll leave that for now. Also introduced on the catwalk was a new show for fall – the Wedge Bootie. There were also plenty of Mulberry classics on show that were once again reinvented to fit the new trends of the season. And let’s not forget the Mulberry dog! This season Mulberry presented it’s most luxurious dog coat yet… a sheepskin padded parka jacket!
