L.L. Bean celebrates 100 years with vintage cover re-shoot!

We’re suckers for a great heritage story and even more so for one that involves a brand I’ve worn since the day I could fit my feet into duck boots or boat shoes. L.L. Bean is celebrating 100 years in 2012 and the celebrations thus far have been nothing short of outstanding… who hasn’t heard about the giant duck boot they had driving through Manhattan? Now they’ve really stepped up their game with re-creating one of their most iconic covers that was published back in 1933. The following video shows the shoot from start to finish, from sourcing to shooting. The result is heartwarming.

And for those of you that are into your duck boots, you’ll be interested to know that they L.L.Bean are currently selling a beautiful pair of Maine Hunting Boots to celebrate the 100th year anniversary…. yup, I’ve already ordered mine… These will be an instant fashion week hit!
