Aquascutum Autumn Winter 2012

Joanna Sykes has killed it once again at Aquascutum with a collection that had me drooling all over my invitation as I watched model after model showcase pieces I could only dream of one day housing in my collection. These are pieces that truly have no expiration date. While they were new in design, their demeanour is classic and worthy of whatever price tag Aquascutum chooses to put alongside them. I would love to display the whole collection here for you to view and ogle over (as I’m not, check out for all the images straight from the runway).

I think you can safely say my obsession with this collection began with the very first model who stepped out wearing an oversized coat which featured fur panels running from elbow to wrist on each arm. My love for brand doubled when the structured overcoats and blazers made their debut featured new additions like leather panelling and structured cuffs at the wrists like hand-cuff extensions of the coat itself. Low slung trousers and cut outs in tops and jackets only intensified the idea of Aquascutum as a modern day brand. Anyone mistaking this company for an old and tired British establishment would be greatly mistaken. Aquascutum is looking to dress woman…woman as we are in 2012….with edge and a flare for the fantastic in our wardrobes.

Here’s a look at the final walk on the catwalk…
