On the perks of being a lifestyle blogger is getting to experience all sorts of wonderful things across London from fashion shows to new restaurant openings. Now and again, however, I get to partake in my favourite activity of visiting super fabulous hotels! The Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour hotel has recently re-opened its doors in London and is already receiving great reviews. As we approached the doors to the Wyndham on Saturday we found ourselves walking past some pretty luxurious vehicles including a Bentley, Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz to name but a few. Then as we made our way through the lobby we passed none other than miss fabulous herself, Anastacia. Now this is an extremely important sighting for several reasons. First of all, Anastacia is a woman that could choose to stay anywhere in London and she chooses the Wyndham Grand. That’s a big statement being made right there. Now, more so than anything else, it was amazing to see Anastacia on this particular day because we had been invited to review the Wyndham’s Positively Pink Afternoon tea in support of The Haven Breast Cancer charity. Anastacia has fought a very public battle with breast cancer and won. She’s also given so much in aid of finding a cure. So I took it as a sign that I was in the right place at the right time in supporting a great cause.
After already speaking so much about the importance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, I’m happy to find a tea that supports the cause! Not only that but it’s wonderful to talk about a tea that takes place in a gorgeous location and features so many delectable goodies! The Wyndham Grand overlooks Chelsea Harbour in London so tea wasn’t just tea, it was like being transported to another place for an afternoon. We drank gorgeous English breakfast tea, ate warm scones and reached sugar coma status as we dreamt of one day owning a yacht for ourselves. What would life be without dreams, eh? Here’s a look at the gorgeous afternoon spent sipping, chewing, dreaming and relaxing…
