You’ll mostly be reading about Peter Pilotto’s great prints this season and they truly are fabulous and worthy of recognition. However, it’s the shapes of Pilotto’s garments for Spring Summer that have me daydreaming of wearing his dresses to places like the summer Serpentine party in London. Each garment is constructed in a way which compliments the natural curves of a woman’s body. The necklines are some of the most beautiful I have seen in ages and the hemlines are forgiving, if not down right flattering! Also notice that however bright or neon Pilotto went with colours, they were always offset with a strip of black which grounds the garment and defines the movement of the dress. The entire show was a beautiful symphony composed by a true artist! Congrats, Peter…this is one for the books!
