Last night Marie Claire held a cocktail party at the swanky W Hotel in London’s Leicester Square to launch the magazine’s Inspire and Mentor Campaign in association with the Prince’s Trust. Inspire and Mentor, in its second year, is all about helping women reach their full potential in business and offers Marie Claire readers the opportunity to be mentored by some of the UK’s leading business women. The evening definitely inspired everyone in attendance with moving words from Trish Halpin, Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire, Lorraine Pascale, former model turned baker and representing the Prince’s Trust and 24 year old Rebecca Taylor who went from being a homeless single mum in 2008 to owning a company set to turnover £200,000 this year.
This year Marie Claire will offer amazing mentors to readers including Lorraine Pascale; Author and producer Jane Fallon; Space NK Founder Nicky Kinnaird; BSkyB’s MD Sophie Turner Laing; Sarah Curran, CEO of fashion website my-wardrobe.com and, Make-up artist Jemma Kidd.
Celebs came out in droves to support the cause and included Sarah Brown, Lorraine Pascale, Camilla Kerslake, Douglas Booth, Jessica Lowndes, Joanna Page, Jane Fallon, Ricky Gervais, David Gandy, Mollie King, Michelle Ryan, Miranda Raison, Jemma Kidd, Kanya King, Alex James, Jesse Metcalfe, Sarah Curran, Annette Felder, Ella Doran, Carole White.
