Last week I was invited to take part in a very special event in London. In case you haven’t already heard, Club Monaco is coming to town and being sold exclusively at Browns. To celebrate the launch of the American cult classic in London, Club Monaco and Browns brought together a group of fashion enthusiasts to spread the word.
This has to be the most interesting marketing exercise I’ve ever experienced! Seven groups met at Browns on South Molton Street at 7pm sharp. For one hour we mingled, enjoyed gorgeous cocktails and overused the photobooth provided for entertainment.
At 8pm, Fashion Foie Gras set of into the night (with five girlfriends who kindly donated their evening to the cause) to plaster Club Monaco posters all over London. Don’t worry folks, the councils approved our actions before we left. There were even police officers helping some people poster! We were given a car, a box of treats to keep us going throughout the evening and lovely cashmere scarves to keep us warm on such a freezing cold evening. What a night it was! I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun.
The best part was of course that this wasn’t just a postering event to announce a new brand. This was also an activity that was raising awareness and money for the charity Too Many Women.
Here are a few pics from the evening… Tell me this didn’t look like a blast?
