Emilio Pucci Autumn Winter 2011, Milan Fashion Week

This is probably going to sound completely ridiculous but throughout Pucci I couldn’t stop thinking… “This is so Italian!” No other country provides such amazing sex appeal on the catwalk.  However, it isn’t in your face or rude. This is, after all, Italian sex appeal and no one can sell that concept better than Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci. This season the dresses presented on the catwalk had stylists the world over weeping in their espressos. These are dresses made for flashbulbs and about a dozen of them would have been perfect for this evening’s Academy Awards!

The hourglass figure was the star of the show with dresses fitted in such a way to hug and flatter the “lovely lady lumps” as Fergie calls them.  It was all about the breasts and the hips on this catwalk today.  Lace inserts on scooped necks, classic Pucci prints reworked to look almost like stained glass windows and floor length emerald green gowns had my clutching my ipad with glee. This collection is to die for! Hooray to Dundas and Pucci team!
