Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2011 Show in Paris

Sam Sparro should have been on the sidelines of the Chanel Pre-Fall show yesterday singing his hit single “Black and Gold”.  That would have been the perfect compliment to the breathtaking pieces that marched down a rug covered runway yesterday in Paris.  Beautiful blazers, intense detailing and subtle bling, bling, bling, were the highlights of yesterday’s show as Kagerfeld took us all back in time with fashion influenced by the Byzantine era. The structured jacket made it’s presence known for the season and thigh high boots once again ruled the runway.  However, it was the attention to detail on each and every garment which makes Chanel clothing like none other.  There’s a reason a knock off Chanel jacket is always spotted immediately as a knock off…you just can’t replicate the real thing unless you have £3,000 to spend trying (and in that case you might as well buy the original). Uncle Karl, I take my hat off to you. Another great collection to look forward to!

Here’s a look at the highlights of the show…
