Barbara Hulanicki, of BIBA fame, launches collection at ASDA

Is it just me or is it strange that the line Barbara Hulanicki established in the 1960s, BIBA, has launched at House of Fraser with no involvement at all from the designer and now she is launching her own capsule collection with ASDA (the UK equivalent of Walmart)? The 14 piece collection will be part of the George for ASDA line and will be available from next month! Want to know the best part?  Prices range from £8 to £25! That’s it!  Hulanicki has been quoted as thinking the new Biba range at House of Fraser to be too expensive. Is that why she’s already done a collaboration with Topshop (2009) and is looking to work with another lower pricepoint company?

I can’t wait to see the new line and I’ll be bringing you pics as soon as I get them! Congrats Hulanicki and ASDA on what looks to be a powerful collaboration!
