I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about a fashion show venue! Topshop has just announced that their Show Space for Spring Summer 2011 will be the Old Eurostar Terminal in Waterloo Station. Hello! Does it get much more amazing?! One platform will be completely transformed into a runway and another will become the Topshop cafe (which we have all come to adore over the years).
So, now on to what we can look forward to seeing on the platform…how about the first solo show of Michael Van Der Ham or a little Peter Pilotto action? If that doesn’t put goosebumps on your arms how does Meadham Kirchhoff, Richard Nicoll or Mary Katrantzou sound? Yup, the gang’s all here this year!
And, for the first time ever, customers will be able to watch the NEWGEN shows live on topshop.com. If you are living in the dark ages and don’t have internet then you can visit the Oxford Street store and watch the shows the day after they are run in a purpose-built cinema! Additionally, photos of Topshop’s best dressed customers each day will be displayed on a wall of fame, with a winner selected at the end of Fashion Week.
It’s looking good, ladies and gentleman….very, very good!!!
