Yes, this ad does bug me. Olivia is gorgeous but if anyone has watched The City she’s also one of the most evil mean girls on the planet…not impressed Hogan…couldn’t you have found a wholesome figure to use? All I can see in this advert are the words “Bitch” not Hogan.
I think brands really do need to pay more attention to who they aling themselves with. Sure, Olivia is a big name that will get you noticed but it might also put people off your brand entirely. Even if her role is completely scripted on The City, most people associate her with being pure and utter evil. Why would Hogan want to carry that over to the brand? Interesting…very interesting.
