I can remember whenever my mother used to drink S. Pellegrino I would think she was so continental. My first sip I spat out as I hadn’t been expecting flavourless bubbles. However, as I grew older and my tastebuds matured I learned to love S. Pellegrino and now it’s a part of my daily restaurant regime. Missoni have teamed up with S. Pellegrino to transform their iconic bottle into a iconic Missoni Zig-Zag pattern masterpiece. This is sure to be a collector’s item! So actually, whether or not you like S. Pellegrino…buy the bottle!
S. Pellegrino’s Brand Manager, Valeria Norreri had this to say on the collaboration:
“It is the first time that S. Pellegrino has collaborated with another brand to interpret our iconic bottle, which has remained unchanged for more than a century. The result was such a good one that we decided to make four variants of the bottle, just like a fashion collection”
Angela Missoni also commented on the match up:
“Clothing a bottle, exteriorizing the tones, reflections and nuances that the light creates on the water’s surface is the task we have assigned to ourselves, to give shape to our interpretation of S.Pellegrino. An object capable of evoking and amplifying water’s characteristics of freshness, transparency and radiance through our distinctive zigzag motif.”
