In America this weekend I bought every August 2010 American glossy fashion magazine. The one ad that was re-occurring and grabbing me every time was the ad sequence for Gap denim. In particular, I was struck by the Graphic Cuffed Real Straight jeans. They have cuffs that are decorated in navy blue swallows! How awesome it that? In a year when we have seen graphic prints take over (particularly the bird, or swallow, print for designers like Miu Miu) this is the perfect idea for the all American brand to appeal to a higher class market. I haven’t bought jeans at the Gap since I was fifteen. However, you will find me picking up a pair of these beauties as soon as they hit the store!
