Alexander McQueen’s Rose for Isabella Blow unveiled in London

“Alexander’s Issie,” a rose selected by Alexander McQueen to commemorate the life of his best friend, Isabella Blow, was revealed to the public at the Hampton Court Flower Show.  The rose is a coral peach floribunda rose which is only grown in Northern Ireland.  In a ceremony that left several in tears the Rose was presented to Issie’s sister, Julia Delves Broughton.

“Isabella was passionate and totally dedicated to fashion, but only her closest friends knew of her love of gardens and, in particular, roses,” Delves Broughton told WWD. “Their unique color and beauty — combined with their thorny nature — greatly appealed to her and to her distinctive eye.”

The Rose is now available to buy through C&K International Rose Specialist
