Karl Lagerfeld to become Commander of the Legion of Honor

WWD reports that this Thursday Karl Lagerfeld will be annointed a Commander of the Legion of Honor by French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The order was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 and is the highest civilian decoration in France. Past recipients of this Honor have included Walt Disney, Queen Elizabeth II, Laurence Olivier, Julia Child, Quincy Jones, Clint Eastwood and Ralph Lauren.



Congrats, Karl! We can’t wait to see you sporting the Medal in September for fashion week!
