Phase Eight won’t be phased out….

Phase Eight is certainly no Spring chicken on the clothing circuit. The brand has been around for a few decades now and that isn’t something to be taken lightly in the fashion world as brands are born quickly and die even faster these days. So why has Phase Eight survived the fashion suicide road so many other brands go down? We believe it’s because they walk their own road. Each season they stick by their core market – a woman aged 30 or above who wishes to dress in a ladylike way while still looking fashionable. You won’t see the yummy mummies who run around town in jean cut offs and crop tops shopping in Phase Eight. Let’s put it more simply-you are more likely to see someone like Jennifer Aniston shopping in Phase Eight than Katie Price.

Today we reviewed their Autumn/Winter 2010/11 Collection and I have to say that we were actually surprised by how fabulous the pieces were.  This is not to say that we were expecting a drab display. We just didn’t expect to see the trends laid out for AW 2010 embraced so completely by Phase Eight. We won’t spoil the surprise but metallics, clever jersey folds and chanel-like tweeds are all present on the racks for the season. Here’s a sneak peak at just a few of our favourites.

And just as a sidenote. We are very much in love with a dress that is currently in stock. Took us back to the old days of vintage Donna Karan – we’ve show a comparison below…

The Raquel Jersey Dress is a favourite as it looks like some many designer dresses we are seeing on the runway these days. The difference here is this dress is £120, not £1,200! Always good news, am I right?

A big thank you to the gorgeous girls at Phase Eight for inviting us to their Press Day! It was well worth the trip over!
