There was so much to take in at the Press Day which Modus Publicity put on earlier this week. I got a headache just walking in the door from trying to decide which way to go…
We started out at Seven for all Mankind. They had some jean cutoffs with silver stud detailing that we fell in love with! These will be perfect for the hot final days of summer and the chilly days of fall paired with black tights.
Next we turned to “Two Birds“…this is a company you may be familiar with as they are traditionally associated with bridesmaids dresses. However, today they were showing that so much more is possible with their versatile dresses. We’ll write more on this later as we are organizing a viewing of the collection to give you some more info.
Sadly, Calvin Klein only had a few pieces on display. We loved the LBD and the gorgeous nude satin bra. We’ll take one of each please.
Sass & Bide deserves a post of their own. The dresses with heavy embellishments were absolutely inspired. You may remember we covered the show from A/W 2010 earlier on the blog. We had no idea the work the models had to put into walking down the runway. These dresses weigh a ton! Oh the price we pay to look beautiful. You’ll be seeing a lot more of these dresses in our Style Snapshots. We have no doubt that celebs will be snapping these up for red carpets and events from London to Los Angeles.
The Tu clothing range by Sainsburys was where we spent most of our time on the day. Let me first say that none of us have ever bought from the Tu Clothing range. In fact, it really wasn’t even on our radar. But, you can bet it is now! The pricepoints are perfect (as in low) and the pieces are totally on trend. You could look fab just wearing their line for the new season. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing the entire lookbook!
