Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2010, the highlight of the season

We’ll start with the finish of the show because I didn’t see one jaw that wasn’t on the floor when the show closed with Elle MacPherson walking out in the gorgeous closing gown! What a finish….to put one of the most renowned models around the globe back on the catwalk. It’s sheer genius and I think it might be the first time ever we see a 46 year old woman on a catwalk for a pret-a-porter show in Paris…please correct me if I am wrong on this as I would be interested to know.

Now on to the rest of the show.  Elle MacPherson wasn’t the only surprise model. There were more famous faces in this show than we have seen in every show combined throughout the season.
Models included: Laetitia Casta, Magdalena Frackowiak, Lara Stone, Adriana Lima, Noemie Lenoir, Karolina Kurkova, Catherine McNeil, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Donaldson, Bar Refaeli and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Marc Jacobs is one of the best designers for women that exist on the planet. He loves us, ladies. He really, really loves us. He said this year that he wanted to present a show for every woman of every race and every size and that is exactly what he did. Nearly any woman on earth will look amazing in these clothes. They are designed to show off exactly what makes us different from men….mainly our breasts and bottoms.  And these were definitely on show. I wonder if the models were given instructions at the door to walk around the fountain (as the show was held in a tent outside the louvre around a glorious working fountain) with attitude. Did Marc stand at the top of the exit and whisper “you are a sexy goddess, make the crowd believe it and swing those hips..” as they marched out in front of hundreds onlookers? Because if you could have seen these girls swagger you would believe there was something being said.
Here’s a look at the images of the clothes….gorgeous Marc, gorgeous!
