Double Denim is a must follow trend for pre-spring 2010

You can’t open a magazine or a turn a city corner without spotting someone in head to toe denim these days. It’s a trend we were all glad to say goodbye to in the early 90s and it’s made a quick comeback.  There is a slight difference in style for the new trend, however.  In the 80s and early 90s double denim was a hideous acid washed denim with lots of embellishments like rhinestones, tassles and selective frayed bits. Now the double denim look is more streamlined and flattering for women, and men for that matter.  You most likely already have a pair of skinny jeans that you love so all you really need to buy in order to wear this look is a button down denim shirt. Don’t play matchy matchy with the denims. A few shades difference in the materials is a good idea.

Embrace this trend. It rocks and we’re happy to see it back and reworked. We’re holding on to a trend from a material that made America what it is today.  Denim is, and always will be, the foundation of wardrobes everywhere but it got its awesome vibe from the Home of the Brave!
