Tommy Hilfiger closes the last show at Bryant Park for New York Fashion Week

The last show in Bryant Park, after thirteen years of amazing fashion presentations, was Tommy Hilfiger. Needless to say, it was an emotional show for everyone that has been involved with New York Fashion Week. The audience even sang together in harmony before the start of the show as 1970s classic rock filled the tent.  So it is fitting that Tommy Hilfiger, the classic American designer, would show some of his best work.  We felt the devil was completely in the details for this show.  The world has already gone crazy over the heeled duck boots that flooded the catwalk.  What American kid didn’t grow up wearing these? And now we get to wear a posh version as adults!? Heaven.  The boots weren’t the only preppy throwback.  Lovely gray and camel cableknits ruled the runway, skinny belts clinched tiny waists and high waisted trousers declared themselves as a must have for the season.  Tommy is always classic and very rarely trendy which is why once again this season he sealed the deal for a good fall season in 2010.
