New York Fashion Week Review Day Four: Diane von Furstenberg

Natalia Vodianova is on a roll this week, opening and closing yet another show, this time on the DVF catwalk.

Diane von Furstenberg is the only designer I know who can make the colour gray bright, light and cheery!  This week we have seen dense fabrics and textures that have reflected the heavy mood around the world at the moment. DVF is the first to lighten everything. The models floated down the runway rather than marching. The fabrics were airy and fairylike and made for a fabulous feeling of weightlessness even though Furstenberg was continuing the layering trend for the season.

It was a fantastic show of clothes that there are sure to be waiting lists for in six months time. Time to get out the claws ladies…survival of the fittest when it comes to securing these garments for the new season!
