New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 Day 1: BCBG Max Azria

Max Azria produced an interesting line this season. As we mentioned previously today, the garments all around seem to be looser than we are used to seeing. A certain modest notion has taken over the catwalk. Not much skin at all was on show and yet there was a sexy feel added to the garments with the layering of a sheer long sleeved tee.  This was seen on everything from day wear to evening wear and it worked an absolute treat.  Clean Lines ran throughout the show as blocks of colours were added to shape and define the garments. Draping and asymmetry were themes throughout. The entire line was rather casual and sporty yet formed in a such an artful way as any of these pieces will take a girl from day to night with the change of lip colour only.  It doesn’t get much better than that. Obviously a recession when we are seeing clothes that can be worn from 9am to 11pm.
