Portugal called and I answered, in February. February, people. Now, I’ve been told that Portugal can be surprisingly warm in February, in comparison to London that is. So, I packed all my new spring purchases for the trip. I had about ten dresses in total, filling up half my oversized suitcase. Sandals, straw bags and floppy hats filled the other half. I was ready for strolls on the beach, drinks by the pool and golf buggy rides through the course. Sadly, we arrived in Portugal on the coldest week of the winter season. That didn’t keep me from braving the cold on a few days, determined to showcase my new purchases. However, the reason you’re not seeing ten dresses on display has everything to do with the fact that I was layered to the point of full coverage. This isn’t to say that the entire experience wasn’t magical. In fact, the sun shined the entire time and the cold, with crisp blue skies and a bright and beautiful light, ended up making this experience all the more special and relaxing. I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time on a trip in the spa. It was bliss. Now about the outfits. Here we go! And watch this space as I have a lot more spring must haves coming at you soon.
